Crossed to St Malo instead of Roscoff because of bad weather (and the crew of the ferry berthed at Roscoff were having a party and in no fit state to shift), so breakfast in Dinard (remember the F&M year), and on to the run at Huelgoat - stopped from parking right in the town because of the horse racing event that completely takes over the streets. Arrive Concarneau late, but a great hotel. Run on Sunday and lunch in Quimper before a lumpy return crossing.
So...  yet another brilliant Carnage Taste of Brittany!

2005 6th Brittany Hash - Slightly Longer Taste of Brittany
The weekend followed an immaculate plan, thanks to the Carnage international team. From pick-up points Friday evening, arriving at  Roscoff early Saturday morning, to breakfast in Morlaix, the hypermarket for essential supplies before heading south for the first run at Huelgoat. Then on to Concarneau; a bit of time to explore the town, the down-downs, the excellent meal and a second run from the hotel on the following morning.

For the rest of the Sunday (this is the slightly longer bit) an exceedingly interesting journey took in: Pont Aven for lunch, the historic village of Lacronan, Le Menez-hom (a high hill see photos), over the bridge we saw from Le Menez-hom, and at last the Chopper Quiz. An evening meal at St Pol de Leon then back to the ferry & home

1-2 April 2006 7th Brittany Hash - Your Regular Dose of Brittany
The hash round up started at Looe and on board for an uncomfortable crossing. But a brilliant, blue, cloudless sky  greeted us and off to Morlaix for breakfast and the hypermarket for essential purchases. Now a mystery journey to the hash venue, eventually arriving at Locronan, the restored 'Petit City of Brittany' where the live hares started out 45 minutes ahead of the pack. The shorts managed to over-run the hares but Get-One-Free found the way home. The hares nearly came face-to-face with the front runners at the top of the hill but managed to make it back a few minutes before the longs.

We arrived safely at Concarneau, to our usual hotel by the beach.
The Sunday run was from the hotel, around the streets then two scenic valleys to bring the pack back to the hotel for showers and down downs.

The journey back to Roscoff brought the highlight of the weekend - the Chopper Quiz and prizes, then back on the ferry.
Another great weekend with Carnage Travel!

1-2 March 2008 9th Brittany Hash - A Shortened Return to Brittany
Carnage Travel re-organized an even shorter Brittany weekend for L2H3 after Brittany Ferries screwed up - but we eventually arrived in Concarneau to Hotel L'Ocean overlooking Plage des Sables Blancs, in time for a run!
The Sunday run was at FORÊT de Pont Callec
a splendid venue with hills, trees, streams, tracks, paths and river.
