A Community Project
in the North Hill parish, Cornwall
"Let's make this project really have an impact - and hopefully not only on our own parish but also in encouraging other Cornish parishes and communities to take action."
It's great to see community events contributing to the LITTER FREE project.
Each year we co-ordiante our B-road litter picks with the county-wide Clean Cornwall week in April. In 2009 the parish took part in the Clean Cornwall week with the two village halls tidying up the grounds and the litter picking volunteers cleared the car parks and surrounding areas as well as the parish roads.
The local council provided a new litter bin for Coads Green village and a new dog waste bin - so it all looks smarter
and cleaner. And we aim for it to stay that way!
North Hill Village Hall launched their new recycling facilities which included a battery recycling tube.
